Samantha Dale
About Samantha Dale
Samantha Dale grew up alongside Suzanne Capper on the Lightbowne Estate in Manchester.
She wasn’t just a neighbour, she was one of Suzanne’s closest friends. They spent their childhood together in the places the media never talked about: the parks, the street corners, the family homes filled with laughter, warmth, and innocence.
For over 30 years, Samantha carried the weight of Suzanne’s memory and the guilt of the night Suzanne called at her house, just weeks before she died. After decades of silence, she chose to tell the truth the world never heard: Suzanne was not friendless, not forgotten, and not the nameless victim she was portrayed to be.
The Lost Voice is Samantha’s promise, to honour Suzanne with dignity, truth, and the humanity she was denied in death.
About Stephen Capper
Stephen Capper
Stephen Capper was just a boy when his sister Suzanne was taken from him.
His memories are not from newspapers or documentaries, but from the home they shared, the laughter they grew up with, and the devastation that followed.
For the first time, Stephen speaks publicly about Suzanne’s life and the impact of losing her. His voice brings the honesty and emotional truth that only a brother can give.
Together, Samantha and Stephen have written the book that should have been written decades ago:
a book that remembers Suzanne as a girl, not a headline.
